Introduction to PMC

$100.00 + $30.00 Materials

Saturday, January 15th

10am - 3:30pm

PMC, also known as “silver clay”, is a non-toxic, clay-like medium made from tiny silver particles in an organic binder--which allows the artist to shape, form and texture it like clay, then fire it for a finished piece made of fine silver. In this one-day workshop, students will learn the basics of working with PMC: applying textures, forming shapes, using syringe clay, and several different finishing techniques. Firing with a torch (a low-cost option) will be demonstrated and discussed. Yes, you will leave with finished jewelry! Please bring your lunch.

This class will be taught by a certified PMC artist: Nancy Travis.
